Call or fold?Played this guy today and was your typical call station. Was limping but min raising his better hands (A10 +/99 + etc). Calling bottom pair on all streets and making life pretty easy. Everytime he min raised and a dry flop came down i would check and he would shove the flop (happened about 3 times before this hand) Would you call this shove on the flop or just wait for a better hand and value town him?

Shove preflop, then you don't have to worry about this.

I can see the point of getting it in pre but he only min raised 99 +/a10 + and is always calling the shove. Do i want to race at this stage?

If his range is this strong, then the flop is a clear fold anyway.

Personally. I would shove pre too.
fold flop.
just a quick question. If you know he's going to shove the flop, and you know it's going to be hard to call. Why don't you donk the flop?

So would you be calling pre given his range?

I didn't know he would shove the flop. He just played the last few hands like that on low dry boards.

No, I would still be shoving mate. I don't think you can assign anyone that tighter range. I mean I doubt you have enough evidence to assume he only does it with that range.
Pocket 8s is just huge at this stage of the match.
Edit
I just re read your op. Given the read that he done this 3 times before, I am more inclined to call it off for what it's worth.

Well i played 3 games against him and and he rarely min raised. Everytime he played it alot stronger and at some showdowns he had them sort of hands. Thanks for the advice next time im shoving it.

Well, wait and see if you get any response from the "big guns" off the site, but I just can't see any other way to play 88 17bb deep personally.

Ha ha, I wish.
This is why I always try and make a point saying things like that. I give an opinion on a lot on this site, but I don't have a big ego, I know I'm not at the same standard as some of the other players on the site. I don't wait for those to post before I do,because if they actually disagree with me, it helps me think about things too.
I know a lot of people value my opinion, which is why I try to be careful, cos I would hate to give people bad information.
Anyway, thanks for the compliments and all that
