brick and mortar hand, help.

ok... a  bit of background on the table.
full ring. 1/3nl  $300 full buy in.  Three 5/10 players at the table, waiting for 'their' table to open--- loose game, crazy action.  my favorite type of game. lots of crazy asian gamblers. Hongcouver Chinada. Laughing

on button about $230 behind. (approximately)

dealt QcQh... everyone limps to me. I raise pre $20. 5 callers.
flop 2d kh 7d.
everyone checks to me. I cbet $65.
SB calls (crazy 5/10 player) everyone else folds.
Turn Qd.
SB checks. I bet out $65. SB calls.
river... 4c
sb looked at my small stack and just put me in.

I had like 60 or 70 left.... i called.

please discuss.

the turn completes flush draw... you still jam? what do you put him on? What do you think he is calling with on the flop?

ok then why bet at all? you want to bet then fold after putting in 3/4 of your stack? if youthink he gets there (which i disacgree with) shouldn't we be checking down to the river? just some food for thought!

basically im not fond of showing weakness at that point, to this player... throwing in basically 1/2 my stack on the turn, shows that I'm basically all in anyway.... which he called (which is where i was confused).I thought it could, A)save me money by the river and B) take it down there.

as it turns out... its all in by the river.

I could go check, check.... but I really doubt thats happening in this case.

what does he have?

I would also jam the turn. I think with a small bet or a check you are missing value from a pair like Kx or a pair + 1 card flush draw like 7x and u almost always have to call the river. Ok with a check we need sth. like 34% equity on the river but I would still call, exception maybe when a 4. diamond rolls of. So regardless of your play you are paying the flush off. I also don`t think he would bluff some kind of missed draw on the river when we check, because on the flop there was no straight draw. So I would jam. I hope I don`t wrote bullshit in my drunken condition:D

I like your thinking zipps....

ok... so.... if he called the river and is drawing... he also has to call my all in no matter what, even if he misses, because equity right?.... besides im pretty sure the 5/10 player is'nt folding for a measly $70... win or lose.

Yeah... OK, I think that pretty much cleared that up.....

thx guys

BTW.... villan showed 9-4 diamonds.... which makes sense (with this player) he was only calling with the baby flush.

if i would have shoved, he prolly would put me on a higher flush.... I guess i gave him a reason to call.

Then again.... I was scared of the flush... thought maybe I could save a little.

I prolly levelled myself.

it is still bothering me... anyone else?

I kinda think that... If I played this with any other 1/2 player... I would have taken the pot down.... in fact, he would'nt have even been in the hand... hence the $20 preflop raise.

however... it's different game again at the 5/10 ...... arghhhh!... it's not the first time a 5/10n player schooled me!
