blocking poker stats questionhello everyone
I see what a huge advantage it is looking up player stats as I getting started at a table. For this reason, I have tried to request all the places I could find that does this to block my poker id from showing those stats.
so far all have done so except
www.pokertableratings.com
they GET PAID members to show my id which I never approved. I have a serious issue with this. See the below email I received to my request ...
Hello,

Any thoughts on this from you guys?
Thanks in advance

I believe that this site only tracks cash games...if you play HU SNG this should not be a problem...I'm correct?
Every time I block my stats I start a downswing spiral...I'm not touching my stats...if they are bad so be it...
Apart from this, I think that looking at my SS stats and looking at my bankroll should be prohibited...looking at my game by sessions just ruins my gameflow. If I'm winning I just want to stop because I've done good for the day, if I'm loosing I fell that I can get it all back if I keep playing.
I believe that this is my larger leak.

I think that OP just wants to block his stats and he said that all sites, except pokertableratings, have done it.
Just to keep it clear to OP, you can check your stats for SNG at:
http://www.sharkscope.com/
http://www.pokerprolabs.com/
http://pokeroptimizer.com/playerSearch.aspx
Pokeroptimizer beta version will end this month...

Really?really? pokertableratings.com doesn't track hu sng's? but those are cash games (not free chips), and you said the site only tracks cash games ... am I misunderstanding something? Do you mean they only track "ring games"?
I hope that is true ... but regardless, they should have a way to opt a player out of their database. Wondering if I can sue for some of the profits since they don't let me opt out. Tempted to ask my attorney LOL
"Every time I block my stats I start a downswing spiral." again, really?
hmmmmmmm, that's kind of weird. any one else notice a difference after blocking stats of any kind?
that is interesting and I would like to know if this has affected anyone else in any way.
and thanks for the Pokeroptimizer site, I didn't know about that one, requested to be blocked there too, we'll see if they respect my wishes.

well, I go on an upward spiral after blocking my stats, or re-setting them.... however, I think that it is mainly due to my embarrassment of losing lots due to playing extremely inibriated....
then I stop drinking and playing.... win lots, start drinking and losing again... stats again reset
hmmm... Im starting to see a pattern here...
ahhhh...that's it!!!.... I only drink on days that end with a 'y'

If you've a decent ROI then it's best not to hide them isn't it? Stops regs on the bumhunt from sitting you.

nah... most regs sit first.... bums usually want to play right away and sit someone who's there and waiting.... imho... besides, if your a reg, most regs will know, or recognize u.... at least above the $20's. NOt that i'm there yet, but when I am bumhunting higher levels I recognize the same names over and over.

Yes cash games / ring games... I believe that nobody here plays with playmoney.
Of course what I said about facing a downswing when I block my stats is just a superstition. You may already seen football players entering the football field with the right foot first. Nobody can prove that someone lost a game just because he entered with the left foot.
Not trying to create a conspiracy theory that the online game is rigged and that PS and FT are working with SS to screw you when you block your stats.
Am I completely naive and am I being levelled hard here?!?!?

who sits firstthis thread is growing more and more interesting ...
on the who sits first part, I can understand seeing the same names over and over at the higher stakes tables ( to me that's anything over $10 LOL)
I'm just beginning my bankroll building and am at the bottom cash games, so I'm lucky if I can get in a game, never mind if I am first or last or even see who I am playing against etc
the husng at the $1 $2 levels to me seem like I have no choice in any way ... registration closes FAST and I normally don't see the same person twice at these levels
but after sitting, using stats to see what kind of player I'm playing against is VERY helpful to my game strategy.

poker table ratings is for cash game players and tracks full ring and 6 max players and there results.
the 3 listed above are the main tracking sites and are the ones you can reset.
once u get a decent graph and play 200+ games most of the regs will have played u or will check your graph out and will look for softer players. just dont sit them and they will leave u alone. i play the 5-10's and the regs leave me alone at both levels but i show 15+% roi and i have played alot of them and we usually end up spliting the wins and losses or just chopping
