Beeing oppositeOk so I made this trail of thought and I found it interesting..
People natural tendencies when it comes to poker is to be tense when playing and relaxed when studying (e.g. watching a video and drinking a beer while making a break from the action).
But in fact what is required in order to succeed is the exact opposite.
You cannot be thorough and disciplined with your studying if you are relaxed.
On the other hand you cannot be focused when playing if you are tense because you do not have mental clarity. You need to be relaxed.
So you need to learn to do the opposite from what is natural to you. That is why it is so hard to succeed!

defo agreed, study should be harder than playing as playing should come naturally. I work this out a while ago but its hard to put into practice

yup, totally agree.. i find myself playing better when i'm just relaxed... nothing to do in the next '20 mins'.. nothing to rush me, nothing to stress me, clear mind and just having fun and being free to wait for better spots rather than force action
