Beating sharkscope starsI don't know what to make of this so I thought I'd share it with you guys.
I do not use sharkscope all that much (I play $5 so there is not that much point to it) but every now and then I scan somebody when I remember it.
Anyway I have twice stumbled accross players with a star and amazing stats.
Both of them I played on a $5 match.
The first one might have been the worst player that I have ever played.
I did not know how that was possible so I assumed that his little brother logged into his account or something ..
The second one was not THAT bad but he was making enough stupid plays to ensure that there is no way this guy has the stats I saw.
Both guys were pretty tight so I would rule out chances of them beeing on some kind of super tilt or being drunk or whatever.
Anyone that has any idea what that is?
Maybe there is a hack for sharkscope?

If I remember correctly the second guys name was mmmccckkk.

The thing is, a guy with a star at the $5 level is just an educated fish in terms of the broader spectrum
I've played a few "good players" aswell, and they also did stupid mistakes, but they play well enough to beat fish, but halt against competent players.
What I love is just to play against winning players and just 3/4bet mercilessly, they really either dont adjust at all or overadjust
great fun

Well yeah, it's pretty obvious really. You don't need to be the best player in the world, you just need to be better than who you are playing.
Imagine picking a random fish from the $5s, and you played him, and him only for a month. You are going to have a huge edge over him, and you would expect to have a pretty high ROI by the end of the month.
Now take on a break even player at the $100s, your edge is going to be far less, you could be up or down by the end of the month, one player may run better than the other, one may adjust better, or whatever, you are unlikely to own his soul the way you did the $5 fish.
The $5 games are predominantly made up of fish, with the odd decent player who pops up now and again, so you are basically playing that $5 fish every single game, so you, me and every other half decent player could grind the $5s and get a gold star if we wanted to. We however move on up, and try and take the next level. Some people just have no interest in moving up, they just do it as a hobby, or like being the best at the level they are playing at, or whatever other retarded reason they have.

Yeah that could be the case..
I do think that I play my best against bad Tags because they have a basic understanding of the game and I can use that to 3 bet bluff them or check raise them with air on dry flops and expect some folds.
Still that last guy had a sample of something like 17000 games 22% ROI and I owned his ass pretty easily so I thought it's a bit too much to think that he actually had these stats.

I have a star and I'm a fish. Don't worry about that. If you click on the star you can see for what stakes he won that star.
Most of them are playing NIB, so that why they have such huge ROI.

NBI = No will to live !
I know the words don't match the initials, but seriously, anyone who plays those needs to have a day of fun just once in their life.

They're quality for making money. You can just fire like 10 up at the low limits and sit there timing down. So boring but guys just leave and give you their money. I spoke to a guy on Skype a while back who claimed to make a lot doing it. Don't know if they've changed the rules on them now or anything.

I'd rather eat tin foil, whilst poking my eyes out with needles, and watching (through my bleeding eye balls) repeats of Hetty Wainthrope investigates.
