Bankroll questionHow many BI's for any stake level do YOU stick to?
At the moment I'm using the 50BI rule, however I get the feeling I'm being too conservative and should drop it to 30.
Cheers

50 is fine. If you feel you want to have a go at the next level earlier, then by all means do, but there is nothing at all wrong with sticking to 50 buy ins, in fact it will probably serve you well.

i like the 50 bi rule but i do advocate taking shots at the next level in short bursts like 3-5 games. it helps to sharpen your skills and gives you a taste of the next level. in my experience it helps to push me higher as i see the profits from the next leveled game. i am just moving from the 5-10 exclusively and i can safley say i am rolled for the 10s in part form my shot taking at the 10s.

I really like this ladder thing that is posted several times on this site.

If you're starting at the very bottom you might think about moving up faster than the ladder pic. The games are not much harder to beat plus the rake at the micros is killer. I went with about 20 BI at the 2's/5's playing a mix of reg and ds games.

true. im playing with an 25-30 bi management. as long as you feel like you really got a huge edge, you can play with 20-25 bis... at least i think

really though it doesn't matter about how much money you have as long as you are willing to move down the stakes if you drop to a certain amount. so for me i drop to thr level below if i have 18BI for the level im on, so having a good move down plan is key to BR mangement

It does me, it's what drives me on to do well. I hate losing money, far more than I like winning it. If you want my chips, you aint getting them easily

yes of course im not spewy chips because i don't care, far form it, but if i say play my AA game lose 3 matches in a row its not going to effect me and put me on my B/C game, so i can take a higher verience Bankroll plan because i feel i can take the extra pressure without cracking.
