Aussie Varange, here to learn how to fish

Rather than give a man fish, you can teach ... bla bla

Hi, I'm Hugh, live in sunny New South Wales in Australia.

I'm fairly new to poker, and I am a real FISHHHHHHHH.

I play my heads-up stuff mostly on Titan Poker, so look me up there if you need some easy money. Username is Varange there too.

I'm hoping to improve my skills here, specifically I want to learn how to flop the nuts all the time, and how to avoid Villain's 3-outer on the river.

Anyway, I hope to make some leakfinder vids too, see if anyone is willing to help me get away from Fish status.

Thanks for the site Brokerstar - I'll probably end up paying you for teaching, dammit.

FWIW you're actually not that bad. I marked you as a pretty standard TAG, a little trappy given you limped QQ & then turned a straight in a limped pot with no betting action & you checked it down. I also c/r'ed you a few times when you fired out the flop on a dry board as you seemed to be betting out a little too much. But this hand was terrible.

Hey man welcome to the site, glad to see you're making friends already Smile

My advice is watch all of the free stuff first and do some game reviews with other members. That should certainly get you heading in the right direction.

Good luck.

MrJay, Nice to see you here!

You're right, I did play that whole thing terribly, and my sarcastic remark was a venting of frustration on my part. Sorry about that! I must say that you were WAY more difficult to play against than anyone else I'd come across there, hence the frustration and the bad all-in. Well done!

Thanks for posting this too. I hope to learn from you.

Cheers mate

Yea, it's pretty EZ game at this level tbh. But you threw down the gauntlet & I was happy to oblige Wink FWIW this is exactly what I wanted you to do, you'd increased your aggression significantly & figured if I 4bet you relatively small , you are more likely to shove lighter than if I just 4bet shove I might get you to fold out some weaker hands.

Apart from that you have got a good game & if I can figure out how I'll ship you the HH to give you an idea of what I was up to.

MyJay, I see you live in England (my commiserations). At what times do you play?

Maybe we could play a few more on Titan, even make a video for the site where both hands are visible?

Please Skype me - my Skype details are in my signature.
