p/f is marginal I would say, I'd call with J1Os pretty much always, 89s plays pretty well too, if you think about a standard 3betting range, so I am pretty sure you can play it profitably.

The fact that the guy called your raise on the turn, shows that the way you played it post flop is going to struggle to make a profit. What rivers are you shoving ? Obv you didn't shove this one cos you hit some showdown value, , I presume you are shoving a lot of other rivers too though ?

Yes but this is why the turn raise size is too big as it makes it harder for him to fold anything that he decides to bet call with on the turn.

I think that he has to check fold so often on the turn that the flop call is profitable. Hard to be sure of course but I would expect Villain to either check fold or bet fold the turn if he doesn't have the gutshot straight draw.
