Adam's Bankroll QuestI've got a bit of time this Christmas day and I've just opened up some Poker Books I've been given by a few friends and it's reminded me to start up this bankroll thread.
I can do that, right? If I can't post in this section then just have a mod lock it up.
About Me: I've been playing poker about a year. I've not really pushed to improve on it but it's become a hobby I'm really into and I've started to want to improve in it. I'm a losing player. The only poker book I have studied is The Theory of Poker. I'm currently about to study Colin Moshman's HU Book which is obvously perfect for the games I'm playing. I'm also going to study some of the resources on here and in the new year when I've moved house and have a bit of spare cash I'm keen to take Brokerstar's coaching course up.
I've uploaded a video of a game I've played with commentary so you can view my thought processes and where I'm at: http://www.viddler.com/explore/theaddicane/videos/1/
I've just created this thread as a place to keep note of my progress and also if I feel like people are watching it'll keep me in check and motivated.
Goals: Well, I just want to start winning in HU SNGs. I may well still be a losing player right now but I think if I study up and review my games then I could turn it around and start showing a profit. So my goal is to have my bankroll grow even a small amount, and the focus really is on getting my game sorted.
I'm playing on Everest in the $1.10 Speed/Turbo games and I single-table whilst focusing as fully as I can on my play. I've played a bit and I'm about even after 70 games but I'm going to reset the graphs and stuff and start again. I've just got the trial of HEM.
So that's me, I'm just going to study away and hopefully start beating the micros. If anyone wants to follow me, feel free!
The bankroll, then, is at $22.40. It's an odd number, but I've been playing around a bit. It's probably a bit short but I'm quite capable of reloading if I go busto so I'm not worried.

Woah, surprised to see such a quick response on Christmas Day. Thanks, though, appreciate the support.
Yeah I have, sorry. Just thought I'd fire it up as it's kind of a good introduction to "me" as a player.
I played 3 games quickly as I really fancied it after all this pokery stuff, and thought I'd post a few spots I thought were rough. In the end, I won 2/3 and the bankroll is now $23.10! Merry Christmas guys, have fun the rest of the day...
The villain here has been quite LAG and has attacked flops. He's frequently followed through aggression on the flop to later streets with pot-sized bets. Should I be folding the turn here?
Everest, $10 + $1 NL Hold'em Tournament, 5/10 Blinds, 2 Players
BB: 1,525
Hero (BTN): 1,475
Pre-Flop: (15) T J dealt to Hero (BTN)
Hero raises to 30, BB calls 20
Flop: (60) 9 T 3 (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets 40, BB raises to 105, Hero calls 65
Turn: (270) 9 (2 Players)
BB bets 185, Hero calls 185
River: (640) 5 (2 Players)
BB bets 640, Hero folds
This is a sick river spot! The villain here was really loose/passive and hadn't shown aggression. He'd been doing things like c/cing top pair bad kicker down, so it's a pretty standard fold, I guess.
Everest, $10 + $1 NL Hold'em Tournament, 5/10 Blinds, 2 Players
BTN: 1,435
Hero (BB): 1,565
Pre-Flop: (15) A A dealt to Hero (BB)
BTN calls 5, Hero raises to 40, BTN calls 30
Flop: (80) 7 K 4 (2 Players)
Hero bets 60, BTN calls 60
Turn: (200) 3 (2 Players)
Hero bets 200, BTN calls 200
River: (600) K (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN bets 600, Hero folds
This was later in the game against the same passive villain and I guess I have to call but it seems like I'm trying to chop?
Everest, $10 + $1 NL Hold'em Tournament, 10/20 Blinds, 2 Players
BTN: 1,660
Hero (BB): 1,340
Pre-Flop: (30) 4 T dealt to Hero (BB)
BTN calls 10, Hero checks
Flop: (40) 4 7 4 (2 Players)
Hero bets 40, BTN calls 40
Turn: (120) K (2 Players)
Hero bets 120, BTN calls 120
River: (360) A (2 Players)
Hero bets 360, BTN raises to 1,440, Hero calls 800 and is All-In
