A question about range estimation

Hello everyone. Say, I know, that my opponent calls with x% hands OOP. I put that x in pokerstove (or HEM), and it gives me the "top x% of hands" as IT sees it. How much do real people (especially ad midstakes) deviate from it? Do they tend to play more suited hands and in this case with the same percentage the upper right half of the "stove" should actually look more yellowish, and the lower left less? If it is the case, then, if we take one off-suite hand out we need to compensate by adding 3suited hands, therefore it could make a huge difference on wet boards.. I know it does not matter that much... still, would be interesting to hear what you guys think.

I think that the way pokerstove translates x into top x% hands refers to full ring.
Being suited in a full ring game is stronger than it is in HU.
At least that is how I perceive it. I could be wrong..

I would say that your theory regarding SCs is reasonable. Of course you should also take into account that opp will also have a raising range so you would likely exclude the top x% of hands from his calling range & end up with a range which includes mid & small PPs,SCs, other connected & semi-connected hands & hands like KJ,KT etc.
