2 more possibly dumb questionsHopefully they aren't too bad.
1)How long do your heads up matches take? For me, a regular heads up match lasts about 40 minutes. It honestly seems a bit ridiculous, and that it drags on forever, and I eventually lose my focus. What's your average?
2)Is Heads up no limit hold em by Colin Moshman a good read? I plan on eventually having lessons with brokerstar, and I was wondering if knowing this book well would give me more out of those lessons.

1) if you are playing no blind increase games thats realy fast. If you are playing super turbo's, you are extremely slow. (read, the speed, blind structure are very important to compare how fast you are) Also your playing style will make that games can take longer. Nothing wrong with different playing styles so also nothing wrong if your matches take longer than some else his matches.
2) yes and yes

1) On average about 15 minutes for the reg speeds on FT and turbos on Stars, where do you play?
2) It's a decent read yeah, but from what I remember it advocates a much more aggressive style pre than Broker. However it wouldn't hurt to get accustomed to a lot of decent styles and then create your own form whilst you build up your roll.

I play on FT. Reg speed, start with 1500 chips with blinds at 10/20, increasing every 6 minutes. And even though I am a bit of a nit, I don't think it would be enough for me to have it last that long lol. Hopefully as I play more games, this will change.

Tbf that's a long time to be playing a reg speed at FT, I play the exact same format and it's rare they go past 25 minutes

I'm glad It's not just me being crazy. What usually happens is that I get them down to about 10 big blinds, and i pick the worst spot to go all in and they double up. It just ends up dragging the game on forever.

General factors outlined on the profound need for aggression at the start of matches make this book worthwhile reading, never actually read it in depth just looked over chapters.
I tend to spend a tonne more time playing and just sticking volume in then reading up. Theory can only take you so far, however, its pretty good
