I find this so tilting I just have to stop playing, I know I should be pleased that the moron got it in so bad, but knowing it and feeling it seem to be two different things.

Don't like the call on the flop much tbh. Okay you have the back door flush draw as well as your straight draw, which could make it a call, but I am usually inclined to let these go.

Does he always pot it in a limped pot ? 3rd hand, so you probably don't know. When the money goes in on the turn, you are chopping at best.

Don't mean to be picky about your play, cos It sounds like you are having a tough time with variance, just something to think about that's all mate.

Chin up

*Edit*

Clearly you aren't chopping at best looking at the result, but you would assume against someone with half a brain, that you are  Very Happy

Hey I don't mind you being picky - the devil is in the details.
It's constructive criticism after all, not like you're calling me a fish and leaving it at that Smile

I think I'd peel one too here. I might not peel if it was the turn. I guess you have some reversed implied odds because of the flush draw so not all outs are live...maybe a leak of mine too...

Yeah probably just folding this vs his first overbet or w/e, but cmon, this is hardly an unlikely/bad beat. Not sure if you know much about equity, but if you don't, run this through pokerstove (downlaod it, free, etc). It'll help you understand variance a lot more.

You also have the nut flush backdoor too and we are deep stacked. Not a bit nitty to fold here? You guys folding because it's a messy spot or would you say it's standard to fold here?

I think having the A of hearts makes it close, without that, it's a clear fold. (In my opinion)

Yeah I agree because it's so obvious when that straight hits, but when he overbets the flop I'd probably weight his range to having top pair pair or middle pair and he's trying to protect his equity. For that reason I think I'd call shove too. Anyway always good to discuss these spots as I certainly am nowhere sure of the best play and lose buyins in these spots all the time...

Ofcourse, don't take what I say as gospel. Just an opinion, If I am uncertain in these spots, I usually stay on the tighter side, as I seem to get in to spots that own me.

Seems 17 BI under EV was an understatement, pulled my alias in hem for the last 3 months to find it's more like 30. Strangely seeing this made me almost happy.

At least I haven't made a loss I guess.

Might help put things in perspective a little.  Not that it makes it any easier, running bad is horrible. Just think how well you will be doing when you start to run well.
