$50 - $10,000 Bankroll spin up for charity.

$50-$10,000 Charity Bankroll Challenge

Hey guys I'm starting my latest bankroll challenge and am going to be grinding up a bankroll from a tiny $50 deposit again but this time I'm going to run it up to $10,000, playing a mix of HUSNG's, heads up cash and cash ring games and the profits will be going to a great cause.

I've chosen Betonline to do the challenge on as this is 100% the fishiest site in the world as it's a sports book and online casino on it's own network.

The fact that they don't offer huge bonuses or rakeback keeps the sharks away leaving the worst players I have ever seen (well since the good old party days) to play against.

My charity of choice

A very close friend of mine recently died of cancer and in her final days was looked after by a fantastic hospice that is run almost entirely on donations. Here is the site http://www.pth.org.uk/

New training videos

I'll be making training videos of my play for you guys to watch which will be a mixture of heads up SNG's, heads up cash and cash ring games. So not only will the money be going to a great cause but you can all pick up a few strategy tips along the way.

I'm so lucky to not have to play poker in order to live these days and so I am really excited to be able to play for such a good cause.

I'll keep you all updated with regular updates.

If you'd like to know more about why I have chose this site to do my challenge on then read my  Betonline poker review .

I hope you all run like god.

Great idea, at least they will have the consolation that their money is going to a good cause, after you crush them.

Thanks for your support guys, feel free to spread it all over facebook, maybe some others will have a soft spot for this awesome charity?? Smile

Anyway I played a bit tonight. 2 tables of 6 max and 1 table of heads up cash and am up 50% on my $50 deposit so a nice start Smile

Not by me mate.

I've swam with sharks, traveled the world, had so many fights in and out of the ring and done all sorts of scary stuff.

When I was in that hospice, I was in bits. Mainly because it was my friend in there but also seeing someone come to the end is a stark reminder of reality and I for one can honestly say that I am not strong enough to do their job.

Put me in a cage with a roided up loon any day of the week. But my hat really goes off to the people that work in these places, their real champions!!

God the players at Betonline poker are so bad that I'm having to restrain myself from sitting in the NL25 cash games with only 4 buyins.

I swear I was seeing at least 60% of players going to a flop and more limping than you'll see in a fractures clinic.

But alas I stayed playing NL10 heads up cash and one table of NL10 6 max at the same time and have built the roll to $110.90

It feels really odd playing heads up cash for $10 but luckily the players are tragically bad and not even coming close to giving me a hard time.

I've built the roll up to $127.87 after starting with $50 yesterday so things are going fine.

Best of luck in your new challenge !

Btw, what is your opinion on the rake in the micro HU cash? If I remember correctly there were quite few threads on 2+2 where people claimed HU cash is extremely difficult to beat below 50$ level because of the rake structure... Thanks

Well it depends. If your opponent hardly even knows how to play poker then it doesn't much matter.

As this site does not have rake back though, if I come up against an even competent player I'll just quit the game as it'll just be us donating rake to the house.

So far though the players here are so crazy bad that the rake makes next to no difference.

This is a 10c/25c game where a full buyin is $25. These guys have no clue about maintaining stacks so they are easy to spot fish.

Awesome stuff mate, I really have never played on a site where it seems so easy to build a bankroll. The other players are just so obvious in terms of what they have, it's unreal.

Even without rakeback I think you could grind a living at these cash tables not even playing that high stakes. But we'll see as and when I get there.

Hey, hey welcome back to the site mate, long time no speak.

Ok so today I just mainly played a mix of 6 max cash and full ring. I did play a bit of heads up against someone I suspect may of been from here, MarcoBroker?

I wasn't able to chat for those of you that may of tried as my screens were shrunk down to a size that results in the chat box vanishing. I have been playing on my netbook whilst down the pub, hence the small screen.

Ok now on to results. I think this is my fourth days play and I'm up to $321. Would be nice to finish my first week at the micros by making $500 but I'm going away to the beach for a long weekend tomorrow.

More NL1000 Fish (where do you ever see this???)

one thing i found was topping up when u drop below a full 100bbs is hard. u have to drop to like 80bbs before they will let u top up. seem very retarded. i emailed support but they told me i could only top up in tournements. obv retards as i specifically asked about adding more funds while playing a cash game. just wondering if you have seen this or not. havent had to do alot of adding on as i am usually above 100bbs in my first pot with all the limpers and donaters . i have never seen so many people limp and float light in my life. firing a second barrel under half pot works so much its not even a second thought anymore if it a profitable play. already turned my 50 into 125 with cash and 6max sng 's Smile

Just got back from a weekend of surfing so not been online for a few days.

I think I mentioned this in one of my videos. You have to drop below 90 blinds before you can top up.

Seems retarded sure but every player is in the same boat and the fish still are the ones that don't top up as soon as they fall below 90 blinds so nothing changes.

Wow four 2 outers on the river to ruin my day

Man what an annoying day, I got it all in as a huge favorite 4 times today to be 4 outed on the river each time. So I have decided to call it a day.

First hand was AA all in pre flop vs KK for 200bb. He spiked a king on the flop, standard cooler all round, nothing to cry about.

Second hand was all in with my set of 3's on  the flop (Q,9,3)  he had KK again and spiked it on the river.

Third hand was my full house with 66 on the turn with a board of Q36Q. He held Q9 and all the money went in for another 200bb pot and he spiked his 9 on the river (I guess he had more than 2 outs here).

Last hand was a slightly smaller pot (only 120bb) my JhJs was all in on the flop of 9h,Th,2h and the guy held 88 (one of them was a heart) and the 8 fell on the river.

Not the end of the world

Despite running like Lieutenant Dan in those hands, I managed to turn a small profit for the day so could be worse.

Salivating over the NL1000 games!!

I've been sitting here watching the NL1000 games running and just want to cry for not having a spare $20k on the site.

Anyway that aside I've been mainly playing full ring and 6 max cash.

I have decided to start the 6 max games as that way I get some alone time with the fish (although saying that, 4 out of 5 players are pretty much fish).

Seven Day Summary

Ok I've actually had seven playing days at Betonline and as many of you know I started with a $50 deposit.

I started playing 3c/6c NL cash and moved up as soon as I had 10 buyins for the next stake level.

The week has been ok so far and I have managed to make nearly $800 in profit which from a $50 deposit, can't be bad.

The bankroll management is super aggressive and not for the feint hearted but also show's what can be done with some uber table selection. Yes, yes I'm a bum hunter, boo hooo, I'll get over it Wink

Simple stuff, eight days of play from a $50 deposit and I have hit the four figure mark!! The first real mile stone.

Every time I grind up a bankroll, going from $50 to $1000 is normally the hardest as it's the most tedious. However doing ten buyins and moving up has kept is slightly exciting.

I'm still going to play some NL50 tables but also start peppering in some fishy NL100 games too.

So this morning I decided to grind like a machine to turn it back around. I started at NL50.

I fired up 5 of the fishiest tables I could find and played for about 6 hours straight. As soon as I got back up to $1000 I opened a coupe of NL100 tables too.

Just been playing a mix of NL100 full ring and 6 max cash over the last couple of days although I never got a huge amount of volume in yesterday as I was paint balling with some old friends.

After a few drinks down the pub I thought I should play some games and finished off the session about $100 down.

Today I started with about $1010 and have played 4 tables for a few hours. The games are as soft as cotton wool and I just nut peddled my way to a plus $300 day.

$600 day, not bad!

So I started the day at just over $1000 and grinded fairly hard.

I played mainly NL100 but did at one point sit the most fishy NL200 game that I have ever seen running in my life. I mean when 8 players see nearly every flop, how can I not sit, I'm a huge favorite!! Someone smart enough to count to 10 is a monster favorite. So I sat.

yes it depends on how many players are in the pot. There are lots of situations where I over limp in position when I have a hand that plays well in a multi way pot with lots of fish in the hand.

Possibly one of my most tilting days, EVER!!

I'm not going to cry for too long but in short I've dropped about $450 so far today and it's time for a break.

In truth it's only a few buyins but still, some of the losses could of been avoided.

The one example that sticks in my head was me on the button with ATs. It's folded to me and I raise to $5 but somehow I bet $25. Then a half stacked player shoves and I'm just wanting to throw up. Anyway so much is in the pot that I call and am dominated by AK. I knew at this point that today may be one of those days.  Crying or Very sad

The joys of a misclick  Confused

Hands I seem to despise in full ring, in early position are AQ, AJs, TT and JJ. I'm starting to wonder if it is more plus EV on a site where your raise gets 6 callers to either open fold them or perhaps make it 15 x the blind.

Hi Broker

Info about Betonline.

Think you mentioned Pokertracker/Manager is not supported.

What does work is the Holdem Indicator software. I use indicator on PKR
this displays the hole cards when playing multi, always a problem with PKR.

Betonline does support holdem indicator.
Indicator has a basic HUD, also a handreplayer you can use after the session
may help as an alternative to PTS.

Just in shock

I played a ton of heads up vs the most amazing degenerate today for him to stack me god only knows how many times.

Such a sick and tilting day lol.

I wish I could post the hand histories but the guy was beyond insane, maniac on a suicide mission with a hate for money. But what does that matter when any two cards turn to gold.

The guy 3 bet very close to 100% of the time so I tighten up a bit and start calling his three bets a bit wider. He doubles through when his QQ beats my Ak and I grind back to get the effective stacks to about 150bb.

I raise 77 he makes a 3 bet and I call. The flop is a glorious 6Q7 rainbow and he full pots it. I flat as he goes ape shit on turns and rivers.

The turn is an 8 and he over bet goes all in. I fist pump call to be shown 45 off suit for the turned straight.  That right there is the end of my session.

It's been an utterly disgusting day. All you have to do to beat me today is drool on your keyboard and mindlessly click buttons.

 Time For Lockdown

Ok so the last few days have been a bit of a bumpy ride to say the least but that's poker. Just as you think you're unbeatable, just that very second you fall in love with the fickle bitch, she kicks you in the nuts. ha ha

In all fairness I'm using really aggressive bankroll management so it will be a bit swingy anyway.

Yesterday I was all the way back down to $875 and was dropping back to the NL50 games (25c/50c). Sad

My playing routine

As I'm doing this for charity, I never really considered my playing times, I just sat and played when I had nothing else to do. I basically played in the morning time in the uk and although the games are certainly not hard, I have noticed that the traffic is really low and there are a few NL50 and  NL100 regs kicking about (again these guys don't even know what a 3 bet is unless they have QQ+ so nothing to worry about).

Last night, I'm sad to admit, I watched Big Brother and then the Pokerstars big game on TV (if anyone has seen the recent episode, how much of a tool is that loose cannon and how much of a whale is the millionaire?).  I was still wide awake at 1am and thinking about wanting to play poker that I opened the lobby up at Betonline to see double the traffic that I normally do and watching 10/20 NL2000 games running like NL100 games on Stars.

I played a load of NL50 mainly and sat back to hoover up just under $300 in that one session (sat a crazy, fishy NL100 game at the end to be fair too where I made $110 in just a few hands when my top set was called down, three streets with middle pair).

The plan for the next few days.

I actually found it fun playing at milkman O'clock, mainly due to how easy the games were and so I've decided to play a couple more sessions at this time to super charge the roll.

To anyone living in Australia, you should be printing money at Betonline poker between 8am - 1pm. Printing... Ha ha ha

Maybe the coolest feature at Betonline

Not that it's hard to find fish on this site but when you find an absolute whale that loves nothing more than to share his wealth with the world then the buddy list is a must.... Genius ha ha.

My Buddies (Enjoy)

Feel free to add these guys to your lists if you are playing in this fish pond. I do love to share..  Smile

3 Weeks Update

Well I started my charity challenge on the 1st of October and now it's the 21st so let's see how far I've come in three short weeks.

Day 1

$50 deposit grinding NL6 (3c/6c) until I had $100 to start shot taking the NL10, HU cash games.

Obviously I ran like god on viagra and never had a losing day. Convinced that I am Stu Ungar reborn, I get more and more daring with my shot taking until I get my ass handed to me by variance and get cooled for a couple of buy ins at NL200 then a further few at NL100 until I bust my roll back down to $875.

Day 21

Today I'm pretty much back where I was a week ago and have decided to be a tad more cautious with my shot taking, although not too cautious.  Cool

I'm grinding the NL100 games again and will look forward to a bit more NL200 shot taking as soon as I get about five more buy ins at this level.

hey guys,

what`s the best payment method to pay in at this site ? I don`t have a credit card so i have to use any of the other payment options.
Myself086

I find set mining full tables to be very profitable at NL25, is it any different at NL200?
I mean I don't only play for set mining but also for position and blind stealing.

Please save your hand history because I will work on converting them into Pokerstars hand history or any format compatible with Hold'em Manager.

I used money bookers to put money on and that seemed to work just fine for me Smile

The NL200 tables don't really play that different to the NL25 tables lol. (true story)  Laughing

If you figure out how to convert the hands then let me know as I have now started saving my HH files so will be great to look at some graphs Smile

$2000 Milestone (under 4 weeks)

I didn't really play at all over the weekend as I had two birthdays to go to and had a huge amount to drink so likely wouldn't of played my A+ game.

It's been just under 4 weeks since depositing my $50 and I have made just shy of $2000 profit in just over three weeks of play.

I'm now going to be shot taking the fishy NL200 games that are running as well as continuing to play the NL100 tables.

Hopefully I'll start seeing the odd four figure day at this level Rolling Eyes

After looking at hand history from Pokerstars and BetOnline, they look EXACTLY the same. You should have no problem loading them into Hold'em Manager. I lost my Hold'em Manager license due to broken hard drive so I can't do much for now.

For the NL200 tables, I forget to mention that the average pot is smaller as you go up but I'm guessing it's due to players loading fewer bb in their stacks. Still, it's fairly easy to bust them as they can't fold top pair in 5-way pots.

Hi Brokerstar

Nice to see you doing well on Betonline.
Deposited $50 a week ago got up to $95 but KK and AA cracked a few times so back down to $48..

Question.. What reason do you play 1 table, do you not think 3 or more table grinding would offer you more profit?

Good luck wiyh the bankroll  Very Happy
Brokerstar

I think Pokerstars and Betonline HH are not the same and HEM and PT3 do not read the HH files.
