As most of you know, I was selected as the first member of the Tagpoker Top team. I must take time before I begin, to thank BrokerStar and Borg, not only for putting up the $, but for showing faith in me. It means a lot, and I will do my best not to let anyone down.

If anyone has been following my progress, they will also know I had an initial stab at the $50s. This was a real shock to my system. Jumping up 5x my usual buy in, playing with someone else's money, against far more aggressive players than I was used to. It was only a small shot, and I made a bit of a pigs ear of it, by being far to passive, and playing a bit scared. As I am sure you have seen in the videos which were put up.

Brokerstar decided to put me in at the $30s, to get a bit of confidence , but still playing at higher stakes than I am used to. This is where he wishes me to put the stab at the $50s behind me, and start a fresh from the $30s, so that is where I am going to begin my journey.

I will be updating this thread each Monday. The posts probably will be much shorter than this one. Just an update on my progress, where I am at, how I am feeling about things, where I can improve etc etc.

Where I am at

I began my journey on the 1st of September, below is a graph of where I am at so far.

As you can see, I had a nice start, followed by a couple of nasty sessions. Watching back a few of the leakfinders BrokerStar did for me helped no end. It really does do you good to sit back and watch someone pull your game to pieces. (In a freindly way  Very Happy )

Obviously I am very pleased with this start, I need to crank up the volume a little. It has been a bit unavoidable considering my circumstances at home, that my volume would be a little lower than usual this month. I still have targets to meet, but Borg and BrokerStar have kindly agreed to relax them slightly for this month. So I am aiming at 200-250 games before September is out.

Things to work on

[ ] Higher Volume

[ ] Mid to end game, where I seem to take my foot of the gas , and blow all the hard work before it

[ ] Keep on believing in myself.

Awesome stuff mate, keep it up.  Have been keeping an eye on your progress, and rapt to see you doing so well.

Your next shot at the 50's will be far more confident, and i know you will do well.  Keep it going, for our sake Wink

Regards

Update

Sorry for the delayed update. Yesterday was quite a difficult day, 3 years since my Dad passed away, all my good intentions on the poker front went out of the window a little, as my Brother came round to spend the evening with us, and I could hardly say no under the circumstances.

Anyway, I want to keep this thread about poker, and there touch wood, should be no more births, weddings, deaths, special events, etc etc, until at least Christmas now  Very Happy  So on we go.

I had another problem, my Shark Scope expired, and I had some problem with my pay pal for some reason it wont accept my payment, I am going to sort that today, but my graph will be posted from Holdem Manager this time, if anyone with SS wants to post my graph for the $30s, for confirmation, feel free to do so. Otherwise should be back to shark scope graph next time round.

Garph.

Overview

I feel I am playing well right now, My game is still a bit raw around the edges, and there are certain times I get completely mown down out of the blue against some oppponents. A bit like a whirl wind.

Obviously I am going quite good at the moment, and will strive to improve on this. The sample size is still very small, and if I can even out at around 15% I will be very happy with that (I hope Borg and Broker will be too  Very Happy )

Moving Forward

Volume is still low, there are reasons, but this next week now I aim to really kick on. Next monday, I should have a much bigger sample size to show, and more of an idea where I am at.

As I said earlier, I am pleased with how I am playing, but there are some things that need ironing out. I plan to do some sweats with Borg, which he kindly offered the other day, but we seemed to miss each other unfortunately, will definitely be taking him up on that offer.

Hopefully catch up with BrokerStar, and go through a few things, send some Hand History's for him to go over for me etc etc, and basically keep getting better. Then when he feels I am ready, will be back at the $50s (gulp)  Wink

Thinks that is it for now. GL at the tables
