Hey guys,

I will be challenging myself to the $50 >>> $500 BR challenge, using a 25BI rule.

These games will be non-turbo on Full Tilt.

Even tho i haven't completed the coaching yet (hopefully within 1-2 weeks), was going to have a few games in between to use for review once i have completed.

Starting from today, my goals are as follows :

1. Complete 100 HU games in a month
2. Complete 200 HU games in a month
3. Reach $150 by end of March
4. Move upto $5 level by end of March
5. Achieve the $500 goal by end of April

I feel i have a good mix of short and long term goals, so as not to over emphasize any extreme goals, and made them fairly realistic if i am going to get serious at HU.

Look forward to reviewing/chatting to anyone else setting similar goals, or just to talk about the game in general.

Thanks mate, thats the plan Wink

Knocked over 10 games to start with, and had some indifferent results.  Came up against a couple stations, so the training came in handy.  Couple of players had me, and i look forward to working on those type of opponents.  I am recording all games at the moment, as they compress down to around 10Mb.  Pretty amazing.  Keep them for nostalgic value perhaps ???

REVIEW : Think i might just wait till i get through the training first, after getting beaten up on the tables  Rolling Eyes    Playing a little too over aggressive, and it is costing me at the moment, need to learn the fundamentals first.

Good luck on the tables.

Okay, have finished the theory lessons with Dom, and now got to try to absorb as much as i can.  Wasn't the best at school, but i have put the training together in a way that will help me learn it better (grammar ?).

Tonight was the first night on the felt, and was little nervous.  Gotta remember this, gotta remember that......no farkin pressure Rolling Eyes  Laughing

Anyways, settled into it all, and started identifying my opponents.  Some were relatively easy, and some seemed to be a hybrid of a couple types (i guess this will be a lot clearer the more i play).  Couple spewy moments through the course of it all, but i think if i get some regular games in, and keep referring to my notes, and re-watching the training videos again, i feel my confidence will overcome it all.

Will post my travels as i go, but will not get myself to result orientated as i have in the past with other forms of the game.  Will look at trying to play 10-12 games every night, with a combination of the $1/$2 at the moment as i build up my BR.  Is it wrong to play the mix, or should i concentrate on just the one level at a time ?

Will be posting my results based on post-training, then i can get a good idea on how i am travelling.

REVIEW : Pretty happy with my first set of games since the training.  I think volume will make a difference, as i should start to identify my opponents easily, and play accordingly.

nice job mate keep it up.

I do not think its a bad idea to mix 1 and 2$ together.. As the players are like equally bad for the most part. But try to get used to the 2$ more than the 1$  just my opinion Smile

Rakewise, $2 is more beneficial, but $1 tables are good grounds to boost your confidence.

^^ this

Also, I've mentioned to others, and I'll mention it to you as well:

Worry less about stats, percentages, winrates, etc. All of these will come in time. Focus on playing your best possible poker, making EVERY decision count, applying your lessons, practicing them, adapting them, and gaining experience.

Stats take care of themselves.

Will actually take that onboard.

Pretty happy with tonight, although only the 4 games for 3 wins, 1 cooler (hit straight on River).

Feel i am getting the feel for what type of opponents i am coming across, although one of the games i had a rematch with, totally changed his play.

Is it standard to rematch someone you just beat ?  What sort of average time do you guys find on the normal speeds ?

Anyways, from now on, i am not going to post any stats etc., but will post up some HH that put me in some odd spots instead.

Regards
