|
|
So I've been a winning player. All of my life. I recently came back off a 6 month break from poker after playing a lot of rush poker 50nl.
I've decided to try and learn HU but I literally can not beat $0.02/0.04. What the hell am I doing wrong? I 100% have the ability to do it, maybe I'm trying to play too clever or maybe I'm just not doing it right.
Could someone please just give me basic pointers to playing 4nl and 10nl HU players? I just can't seem to beat them.
If you want any HH's then I'll share them with you no probs!
Thanks |

It's a bit general.
There are not pointers for beating a buy in level but rather beating certain player types. That's the key, adjust to the type of opponent that you're facing.
Also as a rule I wouldn't play cash that low as the rake will rape you. That is why I always suggested HUSNG's for players that low and then switch to cash when you get to something like NL25 or NL50.
There are a mountain of videos that will help vs differing player types and this is a good page to get you started.

Best of luck.

| sample size and variance can be a huge factor. The standard deviation per 100 hands in heads up is 100bb's plus you literally need thousands of hands for that to iron out. i would suggest slowing down take good notes on your opponent and notice when he deviates from the notes you have already taken and make the proper adjustments |

Thanks for the replies guys. I have taken brokerstar's advice and moved to HUSnG's due to the rake at the micros.
I'm starting to find it a little easier but I'm hoping it will really fall into place soon. I do rate my hand reading ability in general due to past experience at rush, but I'm hoping I can transfer this to HU.
Do you guys think it will eventually fall into place for me? |

If you work hard at it, yes of course it will. _________________ "Cos that's what I do" |
