I haven't played for a few days as I've had a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu grading to focus on and it's been the festive season which has resulted in a reasonable amount of punishment for my liver.
I've been nursing some cracked ribs too since my last sparring session so all in all, I've just not had my game face on.
So today I open the lobby and I guess due to the time of day, there are not many games running. I do spot one table with a couple of huge whales (both about 80% VPIP players) so I take a seat.
I'm only sat for about 40 hands by the time this little gem kick starts my day:

What a nice christmas gift Teach me to flop nuts in multiway raised pots plz!!
Can't wait til I get up to those stakes. I took a just-under-8-buy-in shot last night at NL25 and made $45 in half an hour. Somehow NL25 seemed easier than NL10/NL6. Simply less crazy trappy nonsensical emotional play, and more categorized donkage |

BetOnline's etiquette(not the right word but can't think of it right now) and software are atrocious. Along with the under-raise thing...
- Players can muck whenever they lose, even if they bet and get called or they are first to act in a multiway pot that gets checked down. I have missed out on a ton of information because of this.
- You can intentionally disconnect at any point in the hand and it will consider you all-in and run out a showdown without you needing to put in any more chips. This happens a lot from assholes with gutshots or air.
- Their bet-sizing buttons calculate pot sizes wrong when raising; it doesn't include your call of the last bet (i.e. $5 in pot, someone bets $3, clicking POT sizes up an $8 bet)
- No time-bank at all, just about 10-15 seconds to make your move
And many more... |
