New Forum Mod

Firstly I want to say a huge well done to Betmagicmoney for becoming Tagpokers first ever Forum Moderator. The site has been so small and easy to manage that I've never felt the need for any additional help but now that I'm launching a new project, I simply can't get on here as much as I did and the site is growing faster than ever (never a bad problem I guess).

I've been really quiet the last couple of weeks as there has been a ton of work going on in the background getting ready for the new video series on cash but more about that and why it's taken so long in my next post.

Many of you have sent me messages about spammers or any trouble (in the few instances there is any)  in the forum and I really appreciate it and hope that trend continues. I think BMM has been an absolute forum addict since the day he got here and really feels the same as I do about keeping this place friendly, respectful and a resource to help each other grow and develop without the negativity that you find in some of the other forums out there.

This brings me onto some new points that I have never thought to much about before.

Forum Signatures

I always just let anyone have a forum signature as the site was so small last year that spammers didn't even bother. Now though I feel that Signatures need to be earned rather than just available to all.

The first thing is that you'll need to of been a very active and helpful member of the site with a minimum of 200 forum posts. Don't think that 200 junk posts or 200 hello to new members will count either I'm looking for helpful participation.

If you're contributing to the greater good of the sites members and being polite and respectful then you can have a signature that links to your own personal blog or site as my way of saying thank you. What I don't want to see is blatant spamming of affiliate links as being an affiliate is one of the main income streams that keep this place going.

If anyone has any questions about this then by all means post in this thread or PM me.

Forum Conduct

99.99% of the time this place is super friendly and people are happy to get involved. A couple of months back there were real episodes breaking out between fellow members that I deemed way out of line.

We're not here to berate each other, swear at each other, name call, laugh at the way people played hands, reply to hand history postings in a  condescending way or anything like that.
We're all on the same team here and all though there are no 'official rules' as it's an open forum I will politely only mention once or twice about peoples responses or remarks before I send one PM then I'll just ban people that bring a negative vibe in here.

I don't want to become a hippy type dictator but I would ask that members simply respect the concept of the site (to be a happy, cool, friendly and useful poker community).

I don't want to deviate away from BMM being a solid and incredibly loyal site member and want to say both well done on becoming the first ever moderator and keep up the good work.
BMM will also get monthly game reviews as a way of saying thanks for the effort.

Now all go and run like God.

Dominic

you shouldn't need too as pictures can be compressed to very small sizes.

if your having problems try using www.imageoptimizer.net to get your image compressed Smile
