Should you muck all hands or not?
best times to muck and not to muck? |

I've always had muck hand ticked on all poker sites from heads up to MTT because I can't be bothered to click Don't Show every time but I was playing some Hyper HU games the other night, I unticked it and started showing my hand if it was good, especially early on in the game and subsequent stabs if it was with a good hand also. If he thinks I'm only stabbing at pots with good hands then surely that's a good thing and every blind is important in Hypers.
But I suppose the other side is that I must be bluffing when I don't show. But seeing as they're Hypers and the game is over in a few minutes I didn't mind.
Interesting question though. |

I think the less information that you give your opponents the better, especially as you move up and play against guys that can make use of seeing your hole cards.
It's all a puzzle of incomplete information so don't help your opponents out any more than you have to.

Couldn't agree more, I am sure there are uses for showing your cards at certain times, but I mean HUSNG's are so short, there isn't usually time to take advantage of what you are trying to gain from showing. It's easier just to have auto much imo, makes the games go quicker too. _________________ "Cos that's what I do" |

| There have been one or two times I've wanted to show when I hit a royal flush on the river. Not for any tactical reason. I always have mine switched off too because of all the extra clicking.. |
