| The stats don't lie. I am a fish. After 3 weeks of grinding the $5 HU turbos I have finally fallen below break even. After 210 games my win rate has dropped to a record low of 51.9%.. It all started off so well. But as I notched up the games, I found that I could not beat Tight passive players no matter what I did. On most occassions I was chipping away and beating them down when all of a sudden the blinds reach 100. Then I went all-in with hands like A-Q against A-X and lost. Suddenly I was the short stack and was quickly despatched off. This can't be coincidence. I must have a huge leak somewhere. Maybe I should just switch to HU cash and then I never have to shove all-in. I can just chip away for a nice little profit and not have to flip all the time. Would I be better off playing double stacked games???? |

Don't get too down, 210 games is not nearly a good enough sample size to be confident about winrate. Watching the free videos on this site (if you don't have the course) should give you plenty to plug leaks with. Also, if you're thinking moving to hu cash will reduce variance, you're wrong . Also, hucash rake at those stakes will be soul crushing :/. |

look at the brokerstar on viddler, and try to find games against tight passive players. When you do, try to look specifically at how you should play, and it should come to you pretty quickly. I find playing passive for the first level works, because it keeps them in their comfort zone and means they stay tight passive for longer, so you can exploit their tendencies in the later stages, where the blinds are higher so each chip does far more.
Good luck, and try not to get disheartened. |
