HUSNG Freeroll

Hey all,

BrokerStar said it was fine to post our freeroll information here and you're all welcome to join us in the first ever HUSNG.com freeroll.

The freeroll will take place on PokerStars on October 17th (Sunday) at 16:00 (4pm) Eastern US Time. The ID for the tourney is 317929993.

As mention above, this heads up sng freeroll is open to all players, members or non members of HUSNG.com. In addition to the $200 cash prize pool, qualifying members and non-members (see "How You Qualify below) will be able to win special prizes.

Main Prize Pool

The main prize pool for the HUSNG freeroll will be $200 in cash, split among the in the money finishers.

We will also give free one month standard memberships ($25 value and access to over 100 videos) to any player that cashes. Qualifying players that cash will receive a one month premium membership ($120 value and access to over 200 videos) instead of the standard membership.

Prizes For Qualifying Players

The following prizes are for qualifying players only:

- The player that knocks out HUSNG instructor ITRIED2WARNU will win a free leakfinder video to be posted on HUSNG.com (roughly 20-25 minutes of your silent video play will be reviewed and turned into a 40-60 minute video).

- The player that knocks out HUSNG instructor RyPac13 will also win a free leakfinder video (same details as above).

We've also added prizes for qualifying players that are knocked out in the round prior to the money:

- The last person to be knocked out prior to the money will receive a 30 minute coaching session from HUSNG instructor Cog Dissonance.

- The 2nd to last outside of the money finisher will also receive 30 minutes with HUSNG instructor Cog Dissonance.

- 3rd person outside of the money will receive a HH review by HUSNG instructor RyPac13 (up to 40 hands).

- 4th place through 8th outside of the money will receive three individual hands to be reviewed for an upcoming HUSNG.com video by HUSNG instructor Skates.

Any and all remaining qualifying players from the round just outside the money will receive a one month standard membership.

How You Qualify

If you would like to qualify for the additional prizes, there are three different ways to do so, any one of these will qualify you:

1) Become a Premium Member of HUSNG.com.

2) Become a Standard Member of HUSNG.com and have at least 10 forum posts prior to the start of the freeroll.

3) Email rypac13@husng.com for a free HUSNG.com blog and make two blog entries (spam or NC entries will be deleted) prior to the start of the freeroll.

Other Information and Password

Note: Any coaches with "bounty" or "knockout" prizes that do not participate in the tournament due to unforseen events will have their prizes added to the "just outside the money" prize pool or they will have their prize attached to another player in the tournament as a "bounty" or "knockout."

The structure of this tournament is a freeroll heads up tournament that starts with 75 effective big blinds and 10 minute blind levels (similar to PokerStars regular speed structure).

The password for the tournament will be "huoctsng" and all players will be able to sign up at least 3 hours prior to the start of the tournament (this may be moved up to allow for more signup time).

Problem is there is 1k entrants & how long do you have to wait when 2 ruskies get seated together & don't show up! It's going to be long enough as it is!

I believe the entire freeroll finished in under 6 hours. That surprised me too though.

Disconnected players on Stars are handled easily. Any table with two disconnected players for 250 or so hands is ended, and whoever happens to be down a small blind or big blind in the match loses, then the other player gets blinded down in round 2.

Yes, the Russian freerollers got a hold of it, but that's ok. People still qualified for the prizes. It only took three victories to win a qualified prize (coaching, subscription, video, etc.), so all the extra players that entered were only negative because it allowed some other participants not to enter (or discouraged them from doing so).

The sick thing is that 4th place was only $6 (qualifiers would get a premium sub too so it's more like $126), and most of the freerollers from other countries did not know about the qualifying prizes, so they were knowingly entering into a freeroll that, if you run very well, you could get 4th place for $6 and 4-5 hours of your time.

Anyways, we'll be holding a new one in the near future. We'll make sure the payout schedule looks more reasonable and it will be invite only.

We'll definitely extend invites to TagPoker members. Look for the freeroll to happen before the new year.
