Brag: (almost) made my first 2k in poker (excluding full tilt crap):

Note the squiggly lines in between normal looking graph is where I dabbled in some hypers- I also managed to lose 150 dollars in sngs i think (the sharp down turn at game 650ish).
This isn't too bad given my volume is shit- and I won't be playing much after the new year .
At least I'm now confidently playing 30s on Stars, possibly moving to 60s later on. There are a few bad regs in the 30s imo, but I'll steer clear of some other ppl who absolutely owned me when I played them...
Anyway thanks to this site for helping me get this far (through the many forum posts of aggsyb, reddog, kierk, and hell, of course even blazing and bmm and many others). Even though I never had any coaching/sweat session/convos about strat with anyone really- I learnt through reading/and trying to be as active as possible in the forums- and trying to understand why some other better players disagree with some of my advice/thoughts etc. Looking back now on some of Dom's first videos I've realised how much I've improved (I remember when I first watched them I had no idea and took them as gospel and just tried to copy) lol (no offence Dom ).
It's a shame that the better players aren't as active as before- as their posts really help the community out (it did for me at least). I'll definitely still be around and try my best to keep posting etc even though I won't have much time for poker in the near future, if not for any brilliant advice, at least encourage discussion and to give back to the community.

Truly a thing of beauty mate.
Always great to see someone with results like this after all the hard work they have put in. I am sure you would continue to do well moving through the stakes, as there are pretty bad regs at higher levels as highlighted by other players on here.
All the best champ. _________________ "The men who try to do something and fail are infinitely better than those who try to do nothing and succeed." |

Cheers kolonel.
I remember when I was losing interest after the full tilt thing, you and Blazing kicked some sense into me and motivated me to grind the turbos on Stars. So I guess without you guys I wouldn't have even played poker in the last year.
So I gotta say thanks as well.

| Very impressive mate. Looks like you're killing it. Shame you can't play much poker now as it looks like you're well ready to move up and it'd be great to have more players playing higher. Are these turbos? |

| Yep these are almost all turbos (although the jumpy parts 0-300, 750-1000 and around 1500 are hypers). I've played like 4 regspeed games and won most/all of them- I think those are much much softer but the action isn't great in them at the 30s. |

| haha, well your graph must go up staright up in a vertical ascent without those hypers...reg speed times arent too bad like under 5 mins usually, but that will only get worse i suspect the higher i go..probably have to switch soon |

Haha- not really- I've been lucky to have had only really 2 "downswings" in husngs- at around 575 and 1400- you can see that i have been playing hypers and other forms of poker when that happened.
I wasn't really tilted- I just find I can get rid of "tilt" and other issues if I just switch to a different game/format or stop for a couple of days when on a downswing.
And yeah the higher up you go the worse it is for regspeeds. At the 30s turbos it's just almost instant action most of the time if you sit first. I only experienced "waiting" when trying to get the lobbies (that's how I happened to play reg speeds). _________________ 'Yields a falsehood when appended to its own quotation' yields a falsehood when appended to its own quotation. |
