|
|
So I just entered a HU MTT on 888 presuming the structure was the same as all others I have played - e.g. round 1 plays out, wait, play round 2 etc
Not so on 888. If you win the first round match then you can play the next match if someone has finished.
This creates the following problems which I was painfully subject to:
1) If one of your matches takes a long time, you are penalised. My first match lasted 35 minutes, resulting in me being paired up with someone who had almost triple my stack.
2) People are immune from elimination. For example, when a even number of people remain, the first person to win a match gets freerolled up the ladder as he cant lose any chips while the others can knock each other out.
Surely this isnt right? Dom, do we have an 888 affiliate manager we can put this to? |

If think if you have a issue with it you would be better of discussing it with the sites support?
Personally if the the MTT is a non standard structure, then it will be non standard to the other players as well, so I would be thinking how to turn the structure to my advantage... _________________ BTW. my advice is useless. I suck at poker..... |

No 888 AM sadly, no but this does sound more like an issue to talk to the site directly about so that they can look into it.
I've never even played on 888 poker so you're probably slightly better placed to go through it with the support guys. Do they have live support? _________________ Heads Up Poker Course

| They do have live support but its a bit of a joke to be honest. Will phone them up, seems to be the best way. As to how you exploit the structure? I guess by pushing marginal spots and trying to build a stack, but with 8 minute blind levels, 2500 in starting chips and the first blind level being 10/20, its pretty difficult. |
